Dyson Hairdryer - Bloody annoying!

I needed a new hairdryer a couple of years ago and thought I'd treat myself to a Dyson but since very early on I've had an issue with the filter cage. It broke after a few months so tried to find a Dyson spare and couldn't. I have contacted Dyson a few times about getting a replacement and always get told it's out of stock.

I've bought a few on Amazon but they are all just utter shit. They don't fit properly so they don't stay in place and they break so easily. Seems like it's just a really badly designed part.

Has anyone had this issue? Any solutions I'm missing?

It’ll be under guarantee so they need to replace. They’re usually great about sending parts or replacing items.

Really? I've contacted them twice about trying to get the part and both times have just told me it's out of stock. Today they gave me a couple of links from approved stockists to try so they're certainly not aiming to replace it free.
