Anyone reacting badly to the lovely eye liners? I had one years ago which was not stable but I loved the colour - think I didn't realise how sensitive it was and pressed too hard.. Fast forward to treating myself to 2 new ones and my eyes have flared up with viral conjunctivitis. Pretty much narrowed it down to at least one of the liners so unfortunately won't be using again. Will retry the other colour once my eyes clear again. Interested to hear if this is a common reaction?

A virus isn't an allergic reaction.
So isn't it more likely that either the makeup was contaminated e.g. had already been opened and used by someone before you got it, or you got this virus from something else e.g. dirty make up brushes, fingers touching your eyes etc?
What do you mean it wasn't stable? Was it crumbly? I hate eyeliners that are crumbly.

Oh thanks @PrincessAnne5Eva I will let the pharmacist know that - she said it was probably conjuctivitis (viral not bacterial) and no idea of cause but could have been a reaction to something. I do not believe anyone else had touched the eye liners so not trying to bash VB brand, just that an ingredient is not agreeing with my eyes and wonder if anyone else has suffered similarly. The one I had a few years ago broke often (was very soft) but that is how they should be apparently so I was possibly a bit rough on it treating it more like an eye pencil.

you can get allergic conjuctivitis, I got it from using a face cream from Liz Earle that went in my eyes, my eyes are very sensitive now and I cannot wear any makeup at all now
