Tall women - where do you buy your tailored suits?!

Next used to be my go to for cheap tailored suits, but they have next to nothing in terms of tall suits at the moment!

Ideally I would like a skirt/jacket or dress/jacket in navy. Any help much appreciated!

Long Tall Sally?

How tall?

Hekett · 17/01/2025 15:47

5’8”. With long limbs! Inside leg I need 35”, 36 for heels, and my arms are equally as gangly!

Try m&s. They've massively improved recently & do various leg lengths. I'm 5ft 9" & trousers are long enough for me

Depending on your budget I have found Sezane v long too

crowgift · 17/01/2025 16:12

yes for M&S: I am the opposite end of the height spectrum and the regular trousers are much longer than they used to be (luckily they also do extra short lengths in some suit trousers, ideal for me).

YY to M&S, though it's still very much a gamble.

My "tall" win recently for smart work clothes if finding loafers and brogues in a size 9 within the children's section of shoe shops, when the adult versions all stop at 8 Confused

Interested in this. But do you have a short body, OP, and would a tall jacket be too tall? I envy your long legs! I am one inch taller than you and my inside leg is only 32-33'', so I don't need tall person trousers. (Though hated the fashion, now abating it seems, for cropped ones everywhere!) I could do with much longer rises, though.

Just thinking about this a bit more OP, I think there's much less out there than there used to be in terms of suits full stop (let along in tall). I work in a fairly formal environment and it's really noticeable since Covid how few woman wear matching skirt/trousers and jacket (not suggesting that you shouldn't if you want to of course, just that it might explain why the offer at Next has fallen away.
