Joe Brown fans - do the sizes come up small?

Hi, seen a fitted/flare out from waist long coat in Joe Brown sale, via Tu clothing sale.
A bit if a departure for me as more a Seasalt fan. Just wonder if the sizes tend to come up small? Any advice gratefully received. Thanks
No problem with p&p or returns but trying to save myself the hassle.

Sizes are quite variable. I tried several tunics in different styles but all the same basic shape. One too small, one too big. The other two not a bad fit, if anything a little large.

I think they do, yes, is it the red one with the hook fastening? I tried that one and it just fit but didn't look right unfastened and the sleeve tops were a lot higher than I thought. Free returns though, fortunately.

They tend to have very 'firm', non stretch waists and very little give if any in the fabrics they use.

I find most Joe Browns clothes a bit strange fitting and have stopped buying them - on me they just tend to be tight/ loose in the wrong places whatever size I buy!

But I'd say overall yes they come up a bit small, definitely smaller than Seasalt.

I find the dresses and tops pretty true to size but I would size up one in the coats and jackets though. I have one of each and they are quite close fitting (bought cheap from Vinted though so not too bothered!).

No, but I always like their cossack type or tartan coats. But then i am forever practical and think too uncomfortable to drive in, smell like a wet dog and takes ages to dry if caught in rain lol. Trying to defrump myself and has a win on a premium bond so feel I deserve a treat. Saw a black and white dogtooth coat with a faux fur black collar. A local blogger to me wears a similar coat and looks stylish and unique. Half price £65 & through Tu @ Sainsbury's so I can click and collect. Felt guilty so looked at Vinted but prices £30+. I am too practical and frugal lol. Will probably order two sizes, talked myself into it. Cheers for all the replies.
