I can't wash my hair for 5 days

It's fine and gets greasy quickly. This is due to an operation I'm having - can't shower or wash hair until I've had a check up after 5 days. How do I not feel embarrassed to leave the house on the 5th day? I've bought dry shampoo but I don't think that'll really do the job. Any miracle products out there or suggestions for washing hair without washing hair?

I couldn't wash mine for 2 weeks after surgery, I became Mrs. Headscarf! And balanced it with red lippy.

After my cataract ops I used Nil aqua waterless shampoo rubbed in and towelled off
I mean this with genuine empathy but healing and recovery is paramount so I wouldn't risk it just for clean hair
I hope your op and recovery goes well.

After cataract surgery my dad went to local hairdressers they said they do this all the time and were very careful with strategic places towels across his head/face... He went every other day for two weeks .... He kept them in danish and chocolates as they refused to take any money ;)

ah that's lovely 🥰

I had the same problem after a head wound recently and Living Proof dry shampoo came to my rescue. By the 5th day I could more or less shape my hair into any shape I wanted, but it didn't look or smell dirty!

Baseball cap or beanie hat. It's what I do when I CBA to wash my hair.

Could you wash your fringe only (or get someone to do it) with a flannel then blow dry it. I do this when I don't have time for a full hairwash and it helps.

Those caps are useless

Get someone to french plait it then pin your fringe back. My hair is the same, but you'll just have to get on with it

In my younger days, i did the Trans-Siberian Railway and had no access to a shower or big sink for 5 days until the train stopped at Irkutsk. By the end i wore something like this as a very wide headband over two french plaits. Handyband - Seasalt Cornwall They actually open out much wider than in the photo so you can hide a lot of your hair and then pin it in with some hairgrips.

Organic Cotton Handyband

Made from soft Seasalt jersey with a little stretch, our famous multi-functional Handyband is useful year-round, worn as a snood, headband, hat and more. Choose from a range of lovely Seasalt stripes and prints. We make our Handybands from organic cotto...
