Light weight jeans? Am i mad? or do jeans not suit me?

Does anyone else feel like jeans are just really heavy? I have wide leg jeans from M&S and I find they drag me down. Do lightweight jeans exist? I'm a size 16/18. Or am I resigned to leggings forever?

I'd say it really depends on the denim, there are so many washes and weights. Generally lighter washes are also lighter weight. You will often find the same jeans in different colours feel and fit differently, darker being heavier/thicker.

I hate too heavy jeans as they compress my stomach, although they tend to be pretty flattering. They also tend to be the better quality ones, with more cotton content. And warmer I guess. I don't wear my jeans much during winter as they are not warm enough.

I think the jeans in M&S are good quality and they seem to have lots of options and sizes but I've never got on with them, they all seem very high rise. To me high rise and heavy weight is not comfortable at all.

@TheOGCCL I agree, they totally compact my stomach and it's uncomfortable but I don't know the alternative. I love the tight yoga trousers look and long coat/trainers
