That's it really. We attend an annual charity ball that has a different theme every year and 2025 is Masquerade. People really dress up for these balls - black tie, ball gowns, etc. It's a theatre charity so there is always lots of colour and sparkle, and often extravagance. I usually wear a cocktail dress, but try to avoid black. Has anyone been to a masquerade ball? What did you wear? What did others wear? Can anyone point me to a website that might have some good ideas? I'm rather overweight, dress size 20, and middle aged, so must be appropriate, but I'd still like something that's a bit different.
