Quality clothes for tall women?

I am 6ft tall and buy my clothes from specialist tall ranges through retailers like asos, next, long tall sally etc... i need the extra length on the legs and sleeves, however the quality of materials is never very good.

I'd really like to invest in some quality knitwear, have a properly warm long padded coat and jeans that are that thick, stiff denim and not the stretchy thin stuff!

Has anyone found a retailer that happens to cut leg and sleeve lengths longer than the average and offers really good quality items that will last? Please let me know!

Look for local tall groups - I was approached by a 6 ft 2 mum at school and invited along to a local tall meet in Ireland - have to say my regular sized friends find this v amusing - and boy these women know SO much about where to find 6ft plus clothes! We have nights out/meets all round the country and turn heads at this group of 6ft - 6ft 4 women out together

Have a weekend break in Stockholm or Copenhagen and stock up. That’s the most enjoyable option ! Swedes and Danes are tall and their clothes are cut to fit a taller frame. I bought a coat and wool thermals in Sweden and I was surprised that even in the size S the sleeves and legs were generously long on me. I am 5’8”, so they would work for a taller person too.

Ooh randomly - I forgot that I have a couple of pairs of jeans from Isabel Marant Etoile that are really long! I think most of my other jeans are cropped, which I like, but I struggle with the current long and baggy look as I can’t find anything properly long apart from thosezm. Agree that all high street ranges seem to add a couple of inches to the leg but keep the waist in a weird place! Going to have a look at Donna Ida.

Although currently 7m pregnant so absolutely nothing fits. Limited tall options + limited maternity options = extremely slim pickings! 😂😂

What reason did they give? I had a post declined last week and I can't be arsed to resubmit under their nit-picky rules.

Not high quality but not awful at all, River Island has come up trumps this winter for me, have got some lovely crepe wide leg trousers for work in different colours and 2 pairs of jeans that seem really well made. They have a good selected of long trousers in store and the staff have been super lovely and helpful. Both my teen DDs are over 6’ so the struggle is real in our house!
