End of Feb evening do - what to wear?

We're going to a frienrd's daughter's evening do (disco/band/buffet) at the end of Feb. Venue is a country manor. Only dress code guidance is no black or white, neither of which I'd have worn to a wedding, but might have worn black to an evening do. Friend is no help as she'll be in mother of the bride outfit still, and most of the guests will also be in wedding outfits.

No idea what to wear, not sure there's anything suitable in my wardrobe.
I'm 5'4, size 14. Don't like high necks - need a bit of flesh showing otherwise I look all boob, but don't want to show a lot of cleavage.

We'll be inside only so temperature not an issue tho obviously wont want anything 'summery'.

Suggestions of the kind of thing to wear would be appreciated , links to specific ideas even more so. Thank you

What do you like?

A velvet trouser suit would still be relevant and seasonal and suitably celebratory in February. Otherwise, I quite like the idea of a very stately floor length skirt with a plain shirt and antique jewels. Don’t know if either of those appeal?

Places to look?

Wiggy Kit But I’d wait a few weeks for new stock.

Doen If that’s your style.

Le Monde Beryl for shoes. Or Zara.

Collagerie For limitless new ideas at every price point.

I have two pairs of wide evening trousers - black and navy - and an assortment of fancy tops to go with them. You will want to be comfortable and able to dance. I think a velvet trouser suit would be great.

I would suggest you have a look at the Monsoon website which has a sale and a huge range of styles currently.

Thank you for the suggestions.

I hadn't thought of a velvet trouser suit. Not sure it's 'me' but I always like to try new things just in case. Monsoon is a good shout, will take a look. I have wide legged trousers, which I do feel comfortable in but wondered if they weren't appropriate when most guests would still be in posh day wear.

What do I like? Lots of things really but would say I'm more (aging!) rock chick then Laura Ashley. I live in trousers but am ok in dresses, just not with very high heels these days

@ColdHenrietta they are all new places to me, will take a look. Away visiting friends at the moment so screen time limited (I know, I am also asking myself why, in that case, I started this thread! Was just on my mind I guess!)
