What has happened to my hair?

I have just noticed this in the mirror - i have loads of wispy hair of different lengths everywhere!

I've always had long, perfectly flat, healthy and smooth hair.

But I have had serious hair loss issues for a few months (finally got some blood test results that suggest low iron, so hopefully it's just that) so maybe all these bits are hair regrowth?

But why is it so wispy 😪. Will it grow out eventually and look normal again do you think? Any recommendations so it doesn't look so horrendous in the meantime?

Thank you!

Mine did this after covid.

How interesting, when I looked into potential causes for the hairloss it did mention illnesses and infections. I guess it could be since the hair loss stopped a couple of weeks ago even though I still have the low iron.

It's over the whole length of my hair, it looks awful.

Did yours resolve after a while @stayathomegardener and go back to normal?

Yes mine resolved, same happened to my DD and she decided to have a chop which helped.

Phew that's a relief, I'll try to be patient.

I don't particularly remember getting ill before it but tend to otherwise get minimal symptoms with Covid.

I'm just so glad the hair loss has finally stopped after 3+ months, I didn't even dare to brush my hair anymore as I couldn't bear to see how much was falling out.

Actually I had forgotten I have a friend who is a trichologist and he said the wispy regrowth was a positive.

When compared to hair loss and no regrowth Smile
