Gel or something for short, straight, fine hair?

Hi all,

I have short, fine hair (think Judi Dench).

Can anyone recommend something that I could use to give it a bit of lift? I don't blow dry it - just wiggle my fingers through - and it tends to just look as though it's stuck to my head, flat.

I've tried things in the past - gels and stuff - but they don't seem to last, or they feel like concrete.

Is there anything that I could rub in to just give it a bit of body? Ideally it would be unscented.

Thanks for any help 👍

I use a styling powder, far better than gel, sprinkle on hair and work with hands, the warmth of your hands activates it

You could try a volumising dry shapmoo but tbh blow drying with a root lifter/ mousse would work better

Wax works best when mine is v short. Tiny bit on your fingertips and rough it through.

I always blow dry mine though and use a little root lift spray too.

I use volume powder which just gives it a bit of lift without being visible. I hate that wax is really difficult to wash out and most products are very visible on fine hair

I have a short crop and find the smallest amount of this, rubbed through my hair on my fingers does the trick and I really do mean the smallest amount, think pin head size!
