Hiya all ,
I'm looking for a reasonably priced hair tool for loose curls / waves.
I have grown my hair out it's quite long, in good condition however it is starting to drag my face down.
I've always had medium to short length hair and I think because I have a very small face it always suited.
I grew my hair as I wanted long hair atleast once in my life !
I was recently a bridesmaid for a friend and the hairdresser made my hair look beautiful by just giving me loose curls, it then framed my face and was much more flattering.
I tried doing it myself with an old curling tong at home but ended up looking really old fashioned as the curls were too tight.
I want my hair like the pic I've attached
Also how do I leave to root area straighter like the pic I've attached?

I have long hair, i also own barrels, chopstick wan, the shark version of the Dyson air wrap etc etc.

This comes on every holiday with me believe it or not. So simple, no faffing, beeps when done. Curls last into the next day too!

Have you tried doing the heatless curls?

This one is all over my social media and I am considering it as it will do larger sections at a time.

You can use a dressing gown tie thing, or you can buy things like these https://www.marksandspencer.com/silk-heatless-curler/p/hbp60711542?extid=osshoppinggBEUKKBAU&srsltid=AfmBOopFKv-bT72tWA8_5RMF2Kr26hH1wD6AY3Tfzsb3yB1PBcKhXADFcCg

You put it on and wrap the hair around the band and sleep in it - you'd have to try with damp or dry hair to see what works best but they're pretty good! And cheaper than the heated appliances

I get that effect with my Cloud 9 straighteners. I couldn't get such good results with other straighteners, tongs or those automatic twirly curling things.

Yes it holds, but use some hairspray when you do the curl, make it more curly to allow it to drop a bit with weight of hair…

Following as I love that style.

I have the heartless curlers and I like it but I find the curls can be hit and miss. I also cut my hair short and it doesn’t work as well on short hair - but I might just need one for shorter hair.

I have the babyliss curler as well. I can’t get the waves on that right unfortunately and end up just getting the hair all stuck in it.
