Which Cloud 9 straighteners for menopausal/greying hair?

I'm going to splash out on some decent straighteners to replace my old Babyliss ones and have narrowed it down to Cloud 9 ones but which model?

It's between the Touch or Original?

My hair is shoulder length, sort of a bob. Lots of grey plus a fair bit on new hair growth (following HRT etc). These are quite wiry and frizz really easily - currently I can straighten my hair but if the weather is humid or its damp or drizzling outside, it instantly goes frizzy .

I don't want to pay £50 extra for the Original one if the Touch will be perfectly adequate

I have the original wide plates and love them. When I got them about 5 years ago the touch didn’t get as good reviews for some reason but that’s maybe changed now.

I've just upgraded from the touch to the new originals. I got the midnight blue ones with a free brush direct from Cloud9 for £174 with their £5 discount. They are amazing. I highly recommend. My old Touch ones turn themselves off with a beep after a few seconds of not using them which I found extremely annoying!

@Firstshoes I did wonder if that would be annoying!

I love my touch irons,I am 42 and I've been using them for about 5 years. Durable and quick

I have both the touch and original wide plates. The touch is perfectly good, I use them both interchangeably though depending on how precise I want to be straightening.

For the frizz/reversion you need a good humidity defying product - I'd recommend this heat protector spray - goldwell smoothing serum spray.

It really is! DD2 has them and she says the same

Although do I want to pay an extra £50 just to avoid that if the Touch ones are otherwise fine for me?!

Argh!
