Rich but non greasy body moisturiser

I have been requested this by a relative in hospital, I’m going to the shops shortly so for now this needs to be something I can pick up in a real shop rather than ordering online.
Any recommendations? The ones I use tend to be a bit greasy!

CereVe - I find the moisturising lotion in the pump bottle is rich enough and not at all greasy, but there is also a richer one on a jar or tube (labelled moisturising cream).

E45 in the spray can. You should be able to pick it up in Boots, Superdrug or the supermarket.

Weleda Skin Food is good too and smells lovely - very fresh and aromatherapeutic - which might give your friend a boost whilst in hospital. Some supermarkets have it and big Boots tend to.

My absolute favourite though is Palmer’s Cocoa Butter. It is very rich and can take a couple of minutes to sink in if you use too much but it isn’t greasy. Again, you can pick it up in any supermarket. Some people don’t like the smell but I love it.

ETA: I have itchy dry sensitive eczema-prone skin and these are all fine.

I use Aveeno skin relief lotion, which is not at all oily.

+1 for Aveeno

Dark blue Aveeno

TheChosenTwo · 04/01/2025 11:56

Thanks so much for the recommendations, I’ll go for the aveeno and something else so there’s a choice!
I brought in a palmers yesterday but it was quite greasy and made the sheets a bit oily and sticky - we aren’t worried about staining the sheets but they don’t want to be lying in oil.
i’ll see how the new ones fare!

Neutrogena

Thank you all, the Nivea in the purple/blue bottle has been received with joy, non greasy and rich enough, absorbs quickly and smells okay!
I also got the aveeno but i just put it in the bedside locker as a backup.

Glad you found something she likes. I use Nivea products all year around. I do like the shes butter product you purchased but the almond oil one is even more moisturizing and sinks in the skin nicely. I’m USA but ours is labeled Nivea essentially enriched with almond oil dark blue bottle with “drop” of oil on the front
