What are your go to outfits?

Inspired by you stylish lot but don't think I've ever posted before!

What are the stylish but not fashion victim outfits for midsize women in their 30s?

What is your go to casual outfit for day to day?

I've got straight leg and mom jeans so I'm not stuck back in skinny jeans (not that they'd fit anymore!). But have no clue what's "in" to go with jeans or what kind of dresses to wear.

I think it's about dressing for your shape (and lifestyle) and having good quality basics in neutrals.

To go with straight jeans - if they are slightly cropped and boot cut then high chelsea boots underneath look good. Black jeans for smarter, dark blue jeans for most things, lighter denim in summer. White trainers will always work.

A long cardigan is a good staple to have. Other tops depends on what you like, but v neck tshirts are good on most people or crew if you prefer higher neck. Stripe jumper like beige and cream or beige and black is always timeless.

I gave up on mom jeans as I could never work out what coat to wear with them. Probably a long parka type coat and chunky converse hightops. Long cardigan would work, a white shirt is pretty classic, maybe a stripe roll neck underneath in winter. Would also work with loafers and sandals in summer.

Trends... I don't know...I think it's frills and hotpants. Sporty athleisure is in, which is good as that's pretty much how I've dressed since the 90s.

Wear skinnys if you like them, I never stopped wearing mine.

M & S barrel leg jeans, white T-shirt, Uniqlo short cardie, chunky ankle boots or loafers, and a wool overcoat. Wearing this on repeat!

I wear M & S or Levi straight leg jeans with ankle boots. I then wear oversized plain jumpers or cotton shirts. I like long maxi length cardigans too, knitted or sweatshirt material or long gilets (not hooded). I also like wide leg trousers with trainers and a shorter jumper or T-shirt, again with a long drapey cardigan over the top.

I wear black coated leggings from Next with silky or crepe shirts too with nice jewellery for evenings or a cami and blazer. I like midi satin skirts too with a jumper.

The thing I probably wear most in winter though is a long thigh length vest top, it smooths everything out and gives a good base layer for everything else.

It definitely depends on shape what looks good on you.

I really have to have tighter tops and I have a tiny waist and ribcage but bigger shoulders and hips.

I like wide leg jeans (zara marine) and ribbed long sleeve tops in black, white or blue. Trainers or chelsea boots.

Colder days I wear a sort of shrunken look.wooly jumper or cotton sweatshirt. Long tops aren't good for me.

It's boring but I spend more time on makeup, hair, gym and general grooming than I used too, so I look ok
