I've been feeling particularly hag-like since turning 45 this week, so today on the spur of the moment I wandered into Space NK on Northcote Road
The staff were really lovely and not at all snooty - the girl doing my make-up listened carefully to what I liked/disliked/needed and when I walked out of there I looked 100 times better than when I'd walked in
There was no pressure to buy anything, although I did spend quite a bit and I've had so many compliments from people all day long - my best friend was round this afternoon and she was looking at me quizzically and eventually she said "I can't work out what's different, but you look so healthy and alive - what have you done?"
I know that sounds like an advertising splurge but I was so impressed
