Office wear - a little out there but professional

So after having worked in a job where I have to wear a uniform for nearly a decade I have made a huge change and got a job in a university art gallery/museum. I am really excited!

I will need to wear office wear. Where do I start? Ideas appreciated. 33/size 12-14, 5ft 5

I love the sort of Mabel Mora (IYKWIM) aesthetic - but am not as “clean”..
I need something I can chuck on and look ok but I have uncontrollable hair.

in my non work life I like bright, outlandish dressing but want to scale back for a professional setting without being boring

It might be helpful if you can post an example of what you like to wear as outlandish is certainly in the eye of the beholder!!

Anyway. Food (or colour) for thought! I'm a neutrals dresser in a creative industry and currently feeling like I need a bit more oomph so in search of a bit of a change!

I agree about Joannie. There's some interesting stuff there. This is really nice. At first sight, maybe looks nothing special, but the shaping and pleating around the bust is nice and it's a great colour.

A bargain here

There is a lady who I regularly meet as part of my work. Her company is typical male conservative dominated so it is very much expected that it's black trouser suits. However she changes the buttons to these stunning quirky buttons (mainly bought in the Netherlands markets). She also sees stunning material in the collars and on pockets etc. I love her look. Sadly my needle skills would not allow me to copy.
