Bag to go with a brown parka coat?

I have a new chocolate brown parka coat and my tatty old khaki bag looks awful with it. Any ideas what colour/kind of bag would look nice with a brown parka? Needs to be big enough for a couple of nappies, travel wipes, juice cup, snacks etc but needn't be massive.

Any advice appreciated, I'm looking on ebay but I don't have much of a clue. Thanks!

I have the ideal bag - cheap as chips fake brwon leather cross the body type of thing! Bought it in bhs about 4 years ago. Not very helpful but what about something like this or this or this one?

of your ideal bag!! Those are nice, good long straps. I especially like the last one as it's darker. I'm not keen on tan leather, or ruching- and the combined effect reminds me of David Dickinson's face.

I'm drawn to messenger bags, but I'm trying to smarten up, it's new territory for me as I used to be a really scruffy art student, so I don't know what to choose, and it all feels a bit too "smart" for me, like maybe I'll look silly and overdressed.

I am trying to tidy myself up- I had a neat haircut recently, and grew out my nasty hair colour but still wearing too-long jeans which I walk on so they're all ripped and frayed at the back, and still wearing scruffy old trainers. It's hard to change the habits of a lifetime!

I need a personal stylist to help me out of my tatty rut!
