How do I make my hair look like this?

I am inept at doing my own hair so need a very basic step by step guide, if anyone with skills can advise 😊 I've a do between Christmas and New year but can't get a blow dry appointment nearby. I'm guessing I need, at a minimum, mousse and a big round brush and to work out how to hold the hairdryer at the same time as the brush. I'm tempted to invest in the revlon one step but think the barrell might be too big?

Someone with all the answers will be along soon, but I have seen women put in a big curler into the hair above the forehead to bouffe it up/give it height, before styling to one side.
It's a lovely style.

I would use a heated styling brush (I got mine from Amazon and love it), and then some large rollers for the front pieces. Pin up until cool, set with hairspray. Key is a hot brush and to be totally cool before you take it out.

you could experiment with mouse before you use the styling brush but I get mixed results and prefer without.

I wouldn't have thought of rollers! Great, I shall get looking for some. Would you recommend a particular styling brush, @NewNameNoelle ?

This has genuinely transformed my hair. I get so many compliments now that I use it.

The roller is really for the front sweep / fringe section. Always roll backwards. Right on top of your head at the front. Big fat Velcro roller once your hair is hot. It then does the amazing side sweep thing that the TikTok and Facebook reels beauties have

Thanks @NewNameNoelle , I was actually looking at that earlier. It's cheaper than a blow-dry and my 15 yo will definitely use it too. I'll get it and some rollers and practice!
