35, I got a line from nose to mouth, it just gets deeper every year. Serves me right for smoking for so long.

quickdrawmcgraw · 01/05/2008 20:57

MehgaLegs · 01/05/2008 20:58

38 - dark circles and slight sagging of the skin.

Knees are shot too

DoubleBluff · 01/05/2008 21:00

I got my passport photos done a few weeks ago an when they plopped out i thought ' Who's that old bird?' then realised it was me ....

I have started getting really bad dark circles under my eys that i didn't have befroe. ( am 36)

Remotew · 01/05/2008 21:02

Knees, wtf happens to them. It seems to come on all of a sudden and they look like elephants legs.

It all bothers me as I'm still single. Work with younger ones too and not that long ago I would have joined in but not now. If there is a new man around even if he's not much younger than me I know that I'm out of the running .

hifi · 01/05/2008 21:07

i keep lifting my upper eye lids up, could do with a nip and a tuck i think. i may be getting jowels like my dm, grey hair, receeding gums. on the plus side i have v good boobs and legs, and feet.

Janni · 01/05/2008 21:09

It all depends what mirror you look in.

harpsichordcarrier · 01/05/2008 21:10

about four weeks
I am 38

Chuffinnora · 01/05/2008 21:10

Last year on holidays in France I suddenly noticed my reflection in the wing mirror of the car and couldn't believe how bloody miserable I looked.
Tsarchasm I also tried the smiling for a while but it does make you look demented and it had to go.

Touche Eclat is my best friend and low light.

I was 35 last year btw to answer the OP.

DrNortherner · 01/05/2008 21:12

I have a few smile lines but I refuse to give in to this youth obsessed society

LIke oliveoil has said, it's the younger whippersnappers in the work place that bother me. They must think 30 somthing is so old......

Oliveoil · 01/05/2008 21:13

oh yes, I didn't put my age, I am 38 and a bit

my skin is dry and I seem to have a ridge developing between my eyebrows

I don't have wrinkles unless I smile though so I will have to keep my face completely still [rigid]

DrNortherner · 01/05/2008 21:15

I am 32 in August.

Olive I have a frown line too. Apparantly if you nip it it helps

I a trying ALDI's miracle face cream at the moment.

CrackerOfNuts · 01/05/2008 21:16

I'd say, right about now actually.

I feel and look alot older lately.

Cappuccino · 01/05/2008 21:17

oh I have been a miserable sod since I was 22

I remember watching Blind Date at that age and realising everyone was younger than me

ditto going to a club

so it ceases to surprise me now

however someone did send me a photo of dh and me at her birthday party this week; dh said it was a nice photo, I thought I looked like a witch

however, again, I have been doing this for the last 15 years at least

I am 38

Oliveoil · 01/05/2008 21:19

I found some photos of me in Spain from about 1994 and I looked fabulous, beautiful, with a tan and long hair

however AT THE TIME I am sure I was moaning about something

do you think we will look back when we are 50 and say OMG jus look how fab I looked at 38?

methinks we should live in the moment

DrNortherner · 01/05/2008 21:20

MD at work to a group of us "What you up to over the BH weekend"

ME: It's the school gala - I'm on teh organising, we've got over 40 stalls and a stunt motorbike rider committee

22 YEAR OLD : It's BH wekend, we'll be getting pissed and lying in till mid day.

since when did I get excited over a school gala?

DrNortherner · 01/05/2008 21:20

Does that make sense or not?

Mercy · 01/05/2008 21:21

A few wrinkles does not age you, or saggy knees.

Lines/wrinkles combined with spots (huge ones), grey hair, thinning dry skin and sleepless nights (partly due to a non-sleeping 4 yr old PLUS night sweats) make you look old. Factor in a self-absorbed husband...

Then you look old (and feel it and live it)

Oliveoil · 01/05/2008 21:21

lol

I am going to see Radiohead and may announce it really loudly in the canteen so they are all impressed [pathetic]

VanillaPumpkin · 01/05/2008 21:22

Yes

Cappuccino · 01/05/2008 21:22

"a stunt motorbike rider committee"

wow

a whole committee full of stunt riders

that is a cool school

Olive you are right; I keep finding photos of me when I thought I looked dreadful, I would be v happy to look like that now

however having said that I dress better and hold myself better now; am more aware what suits me

FrayedKnot · 01/05/2008 21:22

Post DS, really, so was 35ish.

Hit home last year when i turned 38.

I lean back a lot these days

Have lost weight and started eating better and exercising again in the vain hope I can stem the tide a little bit

It's the grey hair that is getting to me

Remotew · 01/05/2008 21:23

Stop it all you lot in your 30's I bet you look great. A woman is in her prime in her 30's believe me. Wait until you are the wrong side of 45 then you can moan

castille · 01/05/2008 21:23

About a year ago I suppose, when I 35. Even when I'm feeling rested and energetic it isn't reflected in my face any more

VanillaPumpkin · 01/05/2008 21:23

Oh and Dr N, it is the child that did for you. My sil is the same age as me (31) and will be getting pissed and having lie ins this BH weekend
