I want a dewy look. I an 45. Some wrinkling under eyes. I get spotty. Red nose and cheeks. Pale.
Can anyone recommend a skincare routine and make up suitable? My skin isn't dry. Currently use Elemis cleanser which I love but some anti-aging suggestions would be good.

Elemis balm is a great cleanser for mature/normal skin (not sure which specific Elemis product you use). I also use Squalane cleanser from The Ordinary which is lovely. Do you perhaps have rosacea? This year I’ve discovered a cream called Rosalique which is great for covering and treating red areas of skin and /or rosacea. It has SPF50 too (goes on green! and then settles to your skin tone). A simple cleanse, moisturise, treat (eg Vitamin C), protect (SPF) routine is effective in the morning. At night cleanse thoroughly, add a little moisture and follow with a powerful retinoid. In recent years (I’m in my sixties) I’ve moved away from shop bought anti ageing products (so many!) and tried both Skin and Me and Monderma (currently). They’ll create a custom product for you which you apply once a day at night after cleansing and that’s more likely to solve the skin issues you mention in your post than using lots of products. Good luck! Proper skincare for mature skin is so important if you want to achieve a nice healthy glow.

I second that for Monderma. If you get tretinoin, try to stick to a strength under 0.025g - it’s highly effective, especially for spots and wrinkles but also very potent. As for redness, I’m not sure what would work best. Triggers like alcohol, spicy foods, and wind usually make it worse though.

love avene & le roche posay

wear a bit of taupe or rose shadow
& a rose or violet gloss - prefer rimmel

For a dewy foundation try Nars Light Reflecting foundation. It’s gorgeous.
