Teen beauty brands

Help! I’m shopping for Christmas presents for a 12 and 13 year old and looking at some beauty products. Their mum is having chemo, so I can’t ask her, but want to get something they will love as they have been through a lot recently.

Are Elf, Sol de Janeiro, Byomo and Bubble ok brands to shop from? Any to avoid?

Do you know how bothered they are by branded stuff? My now 15 yr old loves a bit
of beauty but is oddly unbothered by the brand as are her mates. My niece in the other hand does seem to care - she is a year younger and lives in a different part of the country.

Anyway dd likes Sol de janiero sprays as she specifically likes the smell of one. I've got her laneige lip stuff. Niece has byoma bits on her list. My other teen dd likes Elf but she isn't really into beauty stuff, it just helps her spots.

Thank you @myladyjane that is helpful. I believe the 13 year old does like to keep up with trends more so than the 12 year olds. They are lovely girls and will be happy with whatever they get, I just want to try and get something they will really like.

All good ones you listed
My managers daughter is 12 and had SDJ and byoma on her Christmas list!

Also Kiko Milano, Pixi, rare beauty blushes and drunk elephant are all wanted brands amongst teens. I have a friend who works in the industry (and luckily several teen nieces to buy for)!

Oh yes - Laniege lip masks were also on the on trend list!

PLoiuse is very popular with teens
I’ve got my 16 year old niece lots of stuff and it’s really nicely packaged and cute

The 4 pack eyeshadow and lip oil are fab
just make sure you get the actual oil and not just the empty case 😂

Its also used by a lot of make up artist and it’s really good stuff

I’ve also got quite a lot of PLouise stuff and love it and I’m in my late 40s
