Knee-high faux leather boots for slim calves

I just had these boots from M&S delivered, I absolutely love them but unfortunately they’re too wide around the calves at the top, making them a bit gapey and wellie-like. The reviews did warn me of this but I only read them after I’d already ordered 🤦🏻‍♀️ Has anyone seen anything similar please? I want faux rather than real leather as I’m vegetarian, not too chunky a sole, ideally no gold/metal decorations, budget around the same (£60) but could stretch to more for the perfect pair.

I usually look at Mark and Spencer as my first call for shoes same reason as you .
Reiker do some non leather on their site though you'd need to double check as it's glue as well that needs to be non animal .

I’ve looked at Reiker and there are some lovely boots (definitely bookmarking for future shopping) but nothing quite fitting what I’m after - any other suggestions?
