Changing towel/ oversized T shirt/ poncho for public changing areas

I hope someone can help me on this board; I often participate in races, and rather than wrapping a normal towel around me when I change in the tent, it would be good if I can get something to throw over so I have both hands free.

Does anyone know what I mean? I saw a friend who had like an oversized T-shirt which she said was a towel and got from Decathlon. However, having looked at Decathlon, it seems like they have sold out.

Can anyone recommend a tried and tested product please, and where I can get it from? Thanks.

Dry robe? They are a massive thing these last few years

Or

Changing poncho

I like this

But any Amazon search brings up loads.

Not an ad.

No, definitely not a Dry robe. A robe/ponch/T-shirt that I can wear from the changing room to the shower and back to the locker instead of holding on to a towel around my chest with one hand.

Dryrobe do towelling poncho type things - we have a couple and they’re great. Much less heavy than an actual dryrobe and obviously can actually be used as a towel to dry yourself with.

I have a towel poncho from Amazon, was £10. Get the large even if you are slim as they aren't very big

Thank you all for the suggestions.

If you want a budget option, I have a very similar poncho thing as the Dryrobe one in cotton towelling that I got from Primark. I prefer it when I get out of the shower to a bathrobe and the towelling hood is great for starting to dry off your hair.

I have this microfibre one, it's really lightweight

I bought a blue one from Amazon...City Comfort store, in the summer which has been great, not too thick, but the colours/sizes seem to be limited at the moment. I can'twork out how to link Amazon without it showing my personal details, sorry

If you've got long hair you'll want a hair turban too.

Changing towels seem to range from cheap as chips to incredibly expensive. You can get cheap towelling ones of Amazon but they are quite bulky or I got my microfibre one that folds up tiny from Mountain Warehouse for £14 I think. I choose a mens one so it was roomier and longer.

I have a PuraVida towelling robe (it's poncho style) which is lovely and thick and drys me well whilst also being roomy. I also have a microfibre one from Amazon which is lovely in the summer as lightweight but I don't find it drys me very well.

Have a look at Rapanui Clothing, they do the type of thing you are looking for, they call them Surf Towels. We've had items from them in the past, well made and long lasting.
