Safari - help! what to wear?

Please help - i am 45, size 14, slightly 'lost my way'. I am going on safari with my father (elderly, needs some support) in January when the weather will be mid-20s in temp. What do i wear?!

Has anyone got any ideas for the evenings when we meet in the hotel dining room, as well as actually what to wear when we're trekking/seeing the wildlife? For context, as much as I am very excited and grateful, I have stepped in at the last minute and am accompanying my father who could do with the support...

any advise or help or ideas would be great ....

Long cotton trousers /knee length shorts /cropped trousers and t shirts for daytime, long sleeve blouses or tops for evening, perhaps with some nice linen trousers? You might do some early morning or late evening game drives, you will need a sweater or light jacket for those. In my experience these places are not usually very “dressy”, unless you are going to a very posh one?
