Stylish cosy slippers (for elderly mum)

Any good suggestions. Im worried that a lot of the lovely ones will be too slippy for her on the stairs. I have some Glerups which I love, but theres no grip so concerned they might be a bit dangerous for her.

I was looking at Mahabis, but wondering if anyone else had any suggestions.

Celtic houseboats have proper soles

I wear a pair of fake Ugg boots with side zips round the house which are cosy but stable, grippy and don't fall off your feet. They are also way cosier than slippers

My mum likes her Pavers slippers, good soles, very warm.and several styles come in extra wide www.pavers.co.uk/collections/womens-full-slippers/page-2

Oh yes these are quite nice too.

Another vote for Celtic from me. Do check how wide her feet are. My 85 year old mum now has incredibly narrow feet and ankles, and it's getting hard to find slippers that will stay on.

I like white company ones. The hard soles just aren’t cosy enough for me.

Slowhorses1 · 12/12/2024 21:41

Yes agree about the hard soles, I’m just very worried about slips on stairs with the soft soles

I’ve not got the Celtic slippers but have other stuff of theirs and the quality is really good

I fell over and broke my shoulder and the doctor told me to count as I go up and downstairs. He says it slows you down a little bit and I think it's really true.

My Emu sheepskin slippers lasted four years until the Labrador puppy got hold of them. I've asked for another pair for Xmas. With back issues I darent wear mules. I like proper soles too.

I've had some lovely sheepskin ones from Landsend- not cheap, but they last really well, are very warm and comfy and have proper soles.

Thank you all so much for the suggestions. My mum is definitely going to have cosy feet this Christmas

The slippers from westmorland sheepskins are really lovely and well made. Plenty of choice too
