Can I wear this to a winter wedding?

I know florals usually mean more spring/summer (groundbreaking) but I feel that the tulle and the darker colours might make it work for a Jan wedding?

Hope so as I already own it (unworn) and don't want to go shopping 🙈.

It's fine in itself and the dress looks pretty - but won't you be cold?

CurlsLDN · 10/12/2024 18:49

Yes. It’s lovely and totally appropriate in my opinion. I’d look for a velvet bag in the same pinky shade

AreolaGrande · 10/12/2024 18:50

I'd be wearing a coat to the venue (It's all in one indoor location) so not concerned about being cold.

Yes I think so with a bottle green jacket perhaps? For me it’s the footwear on the model that makes it summery, but you could wear a closed toe heel and it would be lovely

AreolaGrande · 10/12/2024 18:50

@CurlsLDN Had exactly the same thought about a bag! Would wear black heels.

Yes I think you can, I would add black accessories so it looks more wintery. Also assume you will add a coat over it?

Pumpkincozynights · 10/12/2024 19:34

Yes as long as you will be warm enough.

TranquilTurquiose · 10/12/2024 19:36

Gorgeous!

NewName24 · 10/12/2024 19:36

Yes.

This is one of the advantages of the ceremony and Reception being in one (usually heated) venue, and not having to move between two places, or sit in an 11th Century Church.

Agree with wearing closed tow shoes rather than sandals like the model.

You'll catch your death!

I think this will be lovely for a January wedding!

Mosaic123 · 10/12/2024 19:50

It's lovely. Where's it from? I love the style of it.

AreolaGrande · 10/12/2024 20:08

@Mosaic123 It's from Coast. Last year I think.

I think it looks perfect. Those sort of places are usually very warm. I’ve gone bare legged and strappy-shoed at Christmas parties in places like that.

Wear a short black, faux fur jacket. That’s what I did at a recent wedding, and several other guests did too!
