What is the nest hair service after highlights?

I got a full head of highlights done in September of this year. I'm very happy with them. It appears as if a good inch and half of roots appeared out of nowhere or over night. I don't like the roots coming in now.

So what is the next service to book after highlights? Is it another full head of highlights even though I only have roots showing? There likely wouldn't be much to lighten at this stage. It's just my hairdresser is often booked weeks in advance and I don't need to get my hair done right now but I reckon in the spring time I likely will need to get my hair done. Maybe in Jan or Feb. I would have to book with him about now.

I would like to keep the bling I have and continue with blonde.

You could book in for a T-bar which is just the parting and front hairline. I’m a hairdresser and my clients often do full head, T-bar, half head, t-bar, full head.

Sorry, that is meant to say next in the title

It would be highlights but they would only put bleach on the roots. You could have T-bar where they only do the parting and across the front, half head where they do the top layer of highlights down to about ear level or a full head where they do all the roots. I tend to get a full head each time as I leave a few months between visits.

Thank you for this.

I have some bathroom mirror pictures of my hair and I don't know of Tbar would be the most suitable for me because the back and under my ponytail is darker than a lot of my hair and I hate under my ponytail. I think I might need something more than a Tbar.

Thank you for explaining was Tbar is. I never knew.

You can also ask for “pony lights” in addition to the T-bar, where they add foils around the back hairline too, so you get brightness when your hair is up. Lots of people get this 😊

Yes, my last highlights was in September and I am ok-ish with my roots but I do think I will need something by February which would be about 4 and half months. I think I will likely need full head but just only the regrowth.

This is fantastic. Yes, yes, yes.

You could get a T bar plus a halo - the halo goes round the edge of your hairline, a couple of cm in, so would work for your ponytail
