A Dress for my 40th Birthday....

So my 40th isn't until the end of next year but for various reasons I've decided to impose a ban on buying anything else (that includes second-hand, etc.) for the whole of 2025. So I really want to get this dress in the next couple of weeks...

I'll be in the Dominican Republic on the day of my birthday itself, so it needs to be something summery/suitable for the heat. 5* adults only resort and I'm not bothered at all about looking overdressed!

I'm 5'1" and a size 6-8, and in all honesty I like to dress younger than my age so I'd quite like something that shows off my figure (no need to have to wear a bra either). I'm looking for something brightly coloured, probably short, with a little bit of wow factor.

I've attached the picture of the dress I liked but I'm not sure on (I'm not sure my boobs would stay in it!) Something similar would be helpful but think I'd prefer a pattern! My budget is maximum £100

Possibly not quite sparkly enough - but if you scroll down to the reduced price stuff you should find plenty that would work for your holiday:

Where is that dress from? Link. Why on earth not order that, for starters?

It's from Oh Polly, it's slightly over budget at £120 but also completely out of stock. It's on Vinted/Depop but I'd need the DD-F cup size and none of them are.

Not really what you are asking OP but how does your hair fair in humidity? I'd also consider how you are going to style it. My hair in the Caribbean and Mexico is a nightmare so I have it in a tight bun and pretty it up with hair accessories.

Think Monica from Friends, but worse! 😂I was going to get my hair and makeup done in the salon at the resort on the day itself so if it's really humid I might ask for some sort of up do - I tend to wear it down most of the time (blonde, mid-length and curly)
