What shoes with this outfit please?

Dark dark charcoal navy jumper dress (almost black), burgundy tights.....

I have black ankle boots and burgundy loafers. Not sure either will work?

With burgundy tights I'd go for the burgundy shoes.

I live in boots and hate loafers but that's just me!

I think both could work depending on the shade of burgundy loafers and tights. I’d go with the black boots as I think they’d just look neutral.

its hard to tell whether the navy dress will look navy or black. If it definitely looks navy, I read something about wearing navy and black to make sure you have more than 1 item of the accessorizing colour so it looks like a deliberate colour palette choice not an accidental “oh, I’ll shove these shoes on”. So you could have a black bag or scarf.

Yes if you wore the black footwear you would need to have another accessory or item in black to tie it all together.

You can. But this isn't a navy and black outfit, and with burgundy in the mix could look unintentional. Of course it can look good but it can also look, as pp said, as if you didn't know what to do with your footwear. Especially as the tights are burgundy.

(tbf just noticed the dress is almost black)
