What to wear for school job?

I’ve just got a second job working in a private school and I’m clueless about what to wear. The dress code is ‘professional attire’ for support staff (which includes me) and ‘business wear, including jackets, ties and trousers/skirts’ for teaching staff. My main job involves being outside a lot and I really don’t own anything that could be described as professional attire. I’d like to put together perhaps 4 mix & match outfits that won’t cost the earth, but clueless about where to look. I’m mid 40s, 5ft 2in and a size 10. Please help me!

I should also have said that the job involves being on my feet a lot plus I’ve got a dodgy foot following a bad break so comfy shoes are a must (I live in trainers & haven’t worn a proper shoe/boot for years).

That's way above the level of dress that our school demands.
I was going to say nothing too tight, nothing to short, nothing too revealing.
BUT, it sounds more like trousers/ skirt and smart top, or a dress, that you could conceivably have a jacket with? And a pair of shoes / boots rather than trainers.
Not in a school environment, I used to have a stunt jacket that lived on the back of my chair. I wore it about 3 times a year... sounds like it might be one of those places you are going to!

Look at Skechers boots.

what are others in the same role wearing? I’m a TA in a state primary and white t shirt and black trousers is the general ‘uniform’
