Help me get rid of brassy tones

I have short dark hair with highlights which were ashy grey white (grey blending type approach) but now the toner has faded they are yellowy orange. What home toners would you recommend please to restore the ash tone and banish the warmth?

Purple shampoo I'd think? I use bleach london and have found it good.

Yes a purple shampoo will banish the warmth. Fanola is a popular brand but there's loads available. I find the purple shampoo dries my hair out so a good conditioner or mask might be needed.

Osmo range (they have loads of blue/purple shampoos) or milkshake ice blonde

Also avoid heated products and even the sun, yep you need sunscreen for white; grey hair

White/grey gets a battering from everywhere, I used to work in a vegetable processing factory where I was processing tonnes of carrots a day - I seriously looked like I had ginger hair
I have to use the purple shampoo at least twice a week, have bought a new modern hairdryer that dries on cool and use a UV heat shield spray

This is all super useful. Thanks everyone :)

Did NOT know that about sun and white/grey hair!
