Which Charlotte Tilbury (or other) products for my wedding day?

I'm getting married in 2025 and want to do my own makeup. I've heard really good things about Charlotte Tilbury makeup but would like some guidance before I buy! Any other brands are also welcome.

I prefer very natural makeup rather than full glam. My usual routine is just a light foundation, a bit of bronzer and some mascara and I don't want to sway too far from that for the wedding.

My skin type is oily. I don't want to spend masses but am happy spending slightly above high street prices for something that's worth the money.

What I'm aiming to buy:

  • A foundation, something that's not too heavy but that will stay put all day and won't make me look even oilier than I usually am.
  • A setting spray, is CT the best to go for or are there others?
  • A blush, something discreet because I tend to get a bit red in the cheeks anyway!
  • A lip tint. I absolutely hate reapplying lip products all day so if there's a tint or something that then that would be perfect.
  • A bronzer, maybe.

I think that's all. Am I forgetting anything? Any recommendations would be wonderful, please!

I totally agree. In my normal life, I don't need VERY long lasting make up that photographs really well. So it was well worth paying someone to do that sort of make up as a once-off and then buying make up that was better suited to normal life (ie very occasional use) and she also gave me tips for that.

I said to her that I really wanted natural and not to think bridal glamour/night time/event, instead think long day travelling with interview at the end... she laughed and got it. She put tonnes of make up on me, I was panicking, but actually when I looked in the mirror, I was very happy as it looked far more natural than I thought it could be from the amount she put on.

I've tried a lot of make up & my favourites are:

Hourglass- foundation or skin tint & their setting powder is brilliant
Victoria Beckham - kajal eyeliner (if you're using it)
Victoria Beckham eye brightening pencil for water line
Beauty Pie Eyeshadow primer
Mac matte eyeshadows - but there may be better ones out there now
Wonderskin lip tint - need to experiment with how long to leave on
Chanel creme bronzer

I also got some beautiful, natural eyelash extensions for my wedding - they cost a small fortune (upwards of £300 at the time) but were such a good investment & lasted through my honeymoon

Sali Hughes is brilliant for product recommendations & also I think advises against foundation/ skincare with UV protection on your wedding day - as it can reflect in photography. But do double check this, as if you're getting married somewhere hot I assume you'll need some sort of protection!
