Bloody Waitrose cream!

Have been in to the nearest waitrose near to us (an hour away) and they told me that it would be at least a month before they get hold of the miracle baby bottom cream that everyone one is raving about. Has anyone had better luck than me and if anyone has used it does it really work or is it all about the hype now?

I got some and there were 5 on the shelf - wish I had got them now. Oh well.

It is just like a posh vaseline really (smells of vanilla). I have used it as night cream for a couple of days and its lovely, but can be very cloggy on the old pores. Is nice on your hands at night too.

think its a bit of a hype - but one I am happy to go with at under £3 a pop.

Look will all you ladies please stop buying the darn stuff for your skin! I need some for ds' bum!

solo · 29/04/2008 23:28

The price will most likely rise now then, being as it's soooooo popular!

paddingtonbear1 · 30/04/2008 11:38

Nope none in my local Waitrose either. Just an empty space and a sign saying 'due to intense media interest this is currently out of stock'!

lizandlulu · 30/04/2008 15:17

i went on saturday and ours didnt have any either

amazonianwoman · 30/04/2008 15:26

John Lewis sell it too. If you're really desperate I can get some from my local JL and post it to you?

orangina · 30/04/2008 15:29

I bought some and it made my face break out. Am trying to use it up on scaly feet, but frankly I don't really rate it....

LittleMy34 · 30/04/2008 15:30

darn it. could have sworn I had an unopened jar in the cupboard but it has been opened and started. could have made an easy £30

totally ridiculous.

NewMum2Be · 01/05/2008 16:08

I work at Waitrose. I asked and there aren't plans to put the price up from 2.49. Also, more pots are arriving over the weekend so hopefully your local Waitrose will have some for ds!

solo · 01/05/2008 22:51

I got some at my local Waitrose today, but there were only about a dozen tubs there...

LynetteScavo · 01/05/2008 23:01

I saw the thread where 1 person said it was good. Is all this because of 1 post? Does any one else think this stuff is so great?

Sidge · 01/05/2008 23:07

I got some. Too greasy for my face. I put it on my hands sometimes but only before bed as it's so greasy. I put some on my dry feet but then have to put socks on as well!

I would say it's been a bit hyped up

TheMoistWorldOfSeptimusQuench · 01/05/2008 23:08

It gave me horrid pustulating spots!

I really, really wanted it to be good - really love the idea of some little tike sticking 2 fingers up to the beauty industry - but sorry, it's too greasy. However, tis vg hand cream to put on at night (or if you've got an hour or two during the day in which you don't have to do anything. Lol)

TheMoistWorldOfSeptimusQuench · 01/05/2008 23:09

x posts sidge

bossybritches · 01/05/2008 23:11

Septimus you were putting too much on!!!

A smear is all that's needed-

LynetteScavo · 01/05/2008 23:12

For some reason I imagined it would be greasy and pore blocking.

orangina · 06/05/2008 10:35

it is

anonymousbosch · 06/05/2008 10:36

it gave me spots too

I now use it, controversially, on dc3's bottom
