Festive dresses that won't make me a sweaty mess

Most of the festive dresses I'm finding are either really thick (Christmas is cold, shouldn't surprise me!) or one of those hideous sweat making fabrics. What should I look for when buying clothes? I am on stage a LOT over this festive period - dancing and hot lights! - and need to be able to breathe and ideally not be sweaty. But also as uber festive and glitzy as possible. And am size 18! Having a nightmare!!

Have you looked at One Hundred Stars? They look beuatiful and not too sweaty. https://onehundredstars.co.uk/collections/the-rachel-dress Not glitzy maybe but definitely very glam and the shape of them is lovely for a size 18.

Natural fabrics are less sweaty - silk and cotton. I've found a big bright silk shirt open over a sparkly cami/vest/corset and whatever works on the bottom is an outfit that is OK for lots of events. You could wear a short black dress, or velvet trousers ( bit hot though) or anything really with it. It can be as low cut or modest as you like, and the bottoms can be long or short, denim, velvet ,leather. If the top is glitzy and you have some red lippy, no one is going to be looking at your bottom half unless you choose to draw attention to it.
