What do I need to do with my hair??

My hair is dry & looks scraggy! See picture just taken & I washed it this morning.
I have had 4 inches chopped off last week, so the ends are in good condition. Always looks great when hairdresser has done it.
It’s just below my shoulders, each hair is really fine, but there are A LOT of them so looks really thick.
i admit to being lazy, don’t blow dry but normally looks ok on day I’ve washed it & next day.
I want glossy shiny hair (with minimal effort & expense!) are there any miracle products out there?? Help me please!!!

Blow drying would do wonders.

Shampoo with force.. Lots of nail on the scalp!! Apply some sort of oil protection spray after taking the towel off. . Small amount.. Even using a hairdryer for a few mins makes the hair smooth ime. Hairbrush and dry at once. Job done..

Is your hair naturally wavy/curly?
Does it dry very quickly?

Christmaseason · 01/12/2024 22:26

Have you ever tried straighteners, they are really good for adding shine?

Hazey19 · 01/12/2024 22:27

You need a good serum. There’s loads out there. And a leave in treatment. X

A blow dry! Have you asked your haiwhat products she uses on you?

It looks wavy to me, not dry
Mine looks like that if I brush it but mine is wavy/curly

Buy coconut oil (cheap, from cooking section of supermarket) and apply to hair. Wrap hair in towel and leave for at least an hour.

Shampoo it out twice and no need for conditioner

It looks like you need to start styling it to encourage waves and curls to come out. There’s lots of tips and tricks on social media

Here, this is mine not styled and brushed out and then styled

I'd recommend Only Curls. Lots of videos on the social media pages and great products too.

Looks amazing.
What products do you use.

I have very fine shoulder length hair, and like you I'm useless about blowdrying, but I use straightening irons which is very quick and it works quite well, looks better than just leaving it 'wild'.

Edited to add, I use the straightening irons on dry hair not wet.

I think you need a hair mask, mine goes frizzy every so often and a hair mask works wonders.
I use a curly /wavy shampoo and conditioner. My favourite brand is Noughty but I'm currently using cantu. If your hair is wavy then air drying is preferable.
