Hair gets frizzy and like rat tails when I go out in the wind and rain
What shampoo should I use
Do I need a moisture shampoo ?
My hair is salt and pepper and I'm 53 if that helps

Yep me too - yet to find anything to help. Trying a keratin hair mask at the moment (hasn’t solved it). Silk pillowcase hasn’t solved it 🤨. Any bit of weather and I’m dedraggled - also hat hair, once I take the hat off I can’t face people. I genuinely have to avoid certain situations as it’s so so very embarrassingly bad ☹️. Very very fine thin hair. I see people with thick straight hair and it’s still amazing in bad weather and after taking a hat off it does get you down - bane of my life! Watching for suggestions 🤞

I use keratin shampoo and conditioner, argan oil and Wow spray when blow drying, and a final spray of this amazing stuff. My hair still goes wavy but the frizz is definitely tamed. https://www.boots.com/lee-stafford-dehumidifier-spray-200-ml-10302250?cmmmc=bmm-buk-google-ppc-_-PLAsHeroCompare--pmaxbeautyggshoppinghcpmedia&gadsource=1&gbraid=0AAAAA-AdmwQJ7BoYkMk5v4CtY4WdJxTja&gclid=CjwKCAiA9bq6BhAKEiwAH6bqoByLmfv58xYhbm2fRJuu-BsQMqLOt2g3EJ7OxZ-4X8c69RImiKy86BoCSpkQAvDBwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

My hair is very thick and can easily go frizzy and manky. My top tips are;

I use a moisterisig shampoo and conditioner for coloured hair and keep my hair coloured - it seems to make the shafts sleeker.

I use a keratin oil after washing.

I have to be 100% certain my hair is 100% dry before I leave the house.

Use hair spray as a sort of over-serum. So I spray the hair spray into my hands and smooth it over my hair or sometimes actually spray my hair but then smooth it over with my hands after.

Hair can still get a bit frizzy but usually a brush sorts it out.

I have the same OP. My hair is very fine and naturally wavy, but the merest hint of moisture in the air and it turns into a wild, frizzy mess. I just wear a hat or a coat with a hood. I've tried all kinds of products over the years (inc keratin blow dry which was expensive and really damaged my hair), but nothing worked. There are people with hair that this doesn't happen too, they're just lucky!
