It it good? Thinking of getting one for my dd. She usually wear black, but thought the ash colour might be a good change? Or is it quite light?

thank you

My sister does and immediately bought 2 more colours. She says it’s amazing

Drivingoverlemons · 01/12/2024 13:56

I have had one. Loved it.

Notcontent · 01/12/2024 13:57

Thanks. What colour did you have?

I had an olive one which was lovely. I haven’t seen the ash shade but it was quite nice to not wear black for a change. Although I love black eyeliner, so you probably can’t go wrong.

Wherethewildthingsfart · 01/12/2024 14:08

I have a couple, they are lovely and creamy.

itsnotabouthepasta · 01/12/2024 14:08

Yes. They are amazing.
I have cinnamon and bronze, they are beautiful - they blend so well that you can use them as eyeliner or as an eyeshadow simply by blending it out.

my only criticism is that because they are so soft, simply drawing two lines across both eyes blunts them so you have to sharpen them every single time which obviously makes them disappear relatively quickly. But they are utterly a holy grail item and worth every single penny.

her eyewear shadow sticks are also GOrGeOUS. They also blend so well. I have shroom and pecan.

I got a free sample of one of her perfumes and it was lovely, but very expensive.

but when you sign up to her list, you get access to fairly regular free p&p or 20% discount things,

give Victoria her due, she’s created a seriously quality product. Apparently the success of her beauty line is why her company now makes a profit.

I have the olive one and the dark brown one. Weirdly I find the olive one harder to use, it doesn't seem to be quite the same texture or smoothness of the brown one. I do love the brown one though.

Also have the brow pencil which is pretty good.

I have the sea grey and the night black. They're both lovely. I agree they are soft and need regular sharpening, but they are worth it and have great staying power.

I bought three and loved them, but not sure if it was an issue with my sharpener (or user error..!) but I was never able to sharpen them so they were short lived

Purplecatshopaholic · 01/12/2024 15:28

I have a few and love them - the pencils and the eye sticks. Great colours, really flattering, last well.

Hoppinggreen · 01/12/2024 15:40

I have 2, love them

Back21970 · 01/12/2024 15:52

I had the ash and it was gorgeous, still looking for a dupe of that colour as I wouldn’t repurchase because of the sharpening issues.

Used the sharpener that came with it and every time the pencil broke, and they need sharpening frequently as they are so soft.

Maybe there is a knack to doing it, put it in the fridge maybe first, but too expensive for me to risk again, unfortunately.

gohomeroger1 · 01/12/2024 15:57

Yep love them. I am usually crap at eyeliner but these make it super easy.

I bought the concealer this week to try it out.

Bimblesalong · 01/12/2024 16:01

I also have cinnamon and bronze. Fantastic products. The vb sharpener has gone in the bin as it is rubbish. I purchased another decent one from NARs and use that.

thanks for the tip about discount / free p&p

GrannyAchingsShepherdsHut · 01/12/2024 16:07

Yes, I've got the ash and the green shimmery one - sequin? They're brilliant. The ash is dark, it's almost black.

They are very soft, so do blunt instantly and need sharpening but I don't use them for wings or anything precise so don't need to sharpen them every time.

cashmerecardigans · 01/12/2024 16:08

Thanks for the tip on the Nars sharpener. I've found they do break easily, so I'll give that a go

Bimblesalong · 01/12/2024 16:11

@cashmerecardigans I’d previously used a Dior one which came with a lip liner, so I guess any decent brand (strangely, apart from VB!).

Notcontent · 01/12/2024 16:12

I just ordered one. Thanks for the tip re the sharpener.

This thread and the 25% cyber Monday offer have pushed me over the edge 😁 cinnamon ordered.

Wherethewildthingsfart · 02/12/2024 17:53

I just use a Stanley knife to sharpen mine (I’m an artist and that’s what I use for my pencils so do it for kohl and lip pencils too.
