Hair straightener recommendations

Hi, looking to purchase a new pair of hair straighteners. Are cloud nine better or GHD? Or something else? Thank you

I have recently bought the GHD chronos straighteners to replace my old GHDs that I had had for years. I really like them, find they straighten well in one pass and my hair stays smooth for longer. I've never had cloud nines so can't compare.

I have thick, frizzy , shoulder length "difficult" hair I have both the Dyson airwrap and the hairdryer to help to deal with it.

I love my cloud 9 wide straighteners, I don't even need to use them on full heat.

I haven't had GHDs for years so again can't compare.

I've never had cloud 9 either, but never needed to. The longevity of my GHDs is phenomenal. I've had my current pair for at least 15 years. And they're used at least 4-5 times a week. I'm a millennial through and through so I like my hair poker straight and it takes me only 15 minutes to get my thick, wavy shoulder length hair like that with my GHDs. Such a good product - I would always buy GHD.

Had GHDs for years until they gave up, the new ones I found shite, constantly snag my hair and rubbish when curling...sold them and bought Cloud 9 which were equally as rubbish. I bought Remington ceramic ones and they are brilliant, straighten and curl my hair really well, whether freshly washed or not

Thank you. I have read quite a few reviews on the new ghds not being as good as the old ones. i will check out the Remington ones.

My GHD’s were crap. I have Cloud 9’s which I love. I also had the Remington Shine Therapy ones which were amazing at straightening hair but after a week or so my hair went crispy and dry.

I wouldn’t be without my steam pod. It’s the older one with the separate water tank. I have a Revlon straightener for doing the smaller bits and finishing off. I’ve heard the new GHD’s aren’t a patch on the original.
