Teenage boys and jeans!

I'm in need of some help please!
15 yr old ds has decided he'd like some "baggy jeans" - he's never been interested in clothes and it's been shorts/joggers until now. He's not actually interested enough to give any more info but there it is on his Xmas list 🤣
Can any point me in the right direction? Which shops are cool with teen boys? He has an older brother but he scours vintage shops etc

I am not sure that any stores are "cool" with teenage boys except crazy branded ones! Grin.

DS and DNs like Urban Outfitters and Hoodrich (does Hoodrich do jeans though?). Hollister or Superdry sometimes. I used to buy Gap a lot but that's nto an option anymore I don't think?

I find with DS it's more about what to avoid - if it's a shop you MIGHT buy something foryourself, avoid like the plague! Grin so no M&S, no Next, no H&M, no Zara etc! River Island might slip through.

Mine wears obscure labels but recently has bought some Uniqlo jeans

dottyaboutstripes · 27/11/2024 12:50

Thanks both. He's absolutely not interested in labels so I don't want to spend silly money.
What about Pull & Bear? A new branch has just opened near us. I'd send him off shopping but that to him would feel like a tragic waste of time 😆

Luckily my teen boy is quite happy with Next loose fit jeans!

CatDogGuineaPig · 27/11/2024 12:53

Bershka have lots... or urban outfitters

dermalermalurd · 27/11/2024 13:03

Pull and bear are popolar with my ds 17. He thinks designer labels are god's way of parting idiots from their money but he does appreciate good quality kit. He gets his cargos from there.

givemushypeasachance · 27/11/2024 17:04

I think Uniqlo would get a pass, that's quite neutral/functional. Speaking of which - what about workwear brands? I think Dickies and other brands like that would probably be well made, practical, built to last. Ones like that used to be quite popular with the alternative crowd and skaters and the like when I was a teenager.

boulevardofbrokendreamss · 27/11/2024 17:07

Carhartt appear to be back in fashion here.

sunshinechaser · 27/11/2024 17:10

My 14 year old DS likes Pull and Bear, Bershka, Hollister and Uniqlo.

TartanMammy · 27/11/2024 17:17

You should ask him, as some of the brands mentioned my ds would be seen in. Hollister and Super dry especially are 'Dad brands' to him.

For jeans he likes MiSh Mash, Lacoste, marshall artist, possibly Lyle and Scott and Levi.

DoverWight · 27/11/2024 17:24

Mine have some from asos, they're not so worried about the jean brand, just wanted super baggy.

MaybeItWasMe · 27/11/2024 17:27

Have a look on Vinted. I got some great Carhartt jeans for my DS14 on there for a fraction of the price they would cost new.

BamberGirl · 27/11/2024 17:38

My DS like BDG for wide leg jeans
about £80 in UO so not the cheapest but they are thick denim and good quality.

ObliviousCoalmine · 27/11/2024 17:59

You want skate brands. Poetic Collection / Homeboy / Three Sixty Clothing / Snack Skateboards.

Find an independent skate shop near you and ask or have a look at brands online.

EllaPaella · 27/11/2024 18:09

I would go Urban Outfitters

Yes my son now 20 has been obsessed with this brand for about 3 years now!
He gets vintage stuff which is much better quality from Dpop and Vinted.

chutneypig · 27/11/2024 19:08

My daughter directed her twin brother to Bershka and he seemed pretty pleased with them. I ordered a couple of sizes as he's quite skinny and the return was very straightforward. Quick delivery too.

dottyaboutstripes · 28/11/2024 07:39

Thanks everyone, some great ideas and we have several of these shops locally
