What new thing have you tried or learnt recently?

I'm trying one of the Floral Street fragrance discovery sets. Pungent probably best sums them up. They're not unpleasant but they certainly pack a punch. A bit simple. Teenaged me would have loved them.

I also recently learnt how to use a rotary phone but that is, literally, another thread.

I tried a middle parting, balayage with bright blonde money piece.

It does not suit me.
I have a massive forehead. And my massive forehead doesn't have the silky smooth skin needed for this style.

If I wave/curl the money piece I look like a 17th century playwright. If I keep it natural, I look like a heroine addled extra from Trainspotting.

Back to a fringe for me I think.

Doggymummar · 29/11/2024 16:43

I tried sock curls last night and for the first time in ages my fringe looked ok. I'm 55 and never really worn makeup except as a teenage Goth when I was very Robert Smith. Recently I have discovered YouTube make up tutorials and have been experimenting with make up.n

Darning

That as a very pale skinned person I can use bronzer and look ok. My teenage experiments left me looking like I’d been playing in the mud, and I’d decided that bronzer was best avoided 🤣

Summerhillsquare · 30/11/2024 07:32

Oh which bronzer?

What the heck is a money piece?!

I got some elf eyebrow gel and finally my eyebrows look luscious but neat and natural somehow all at once!

narniabusiness · 01/12/2024 09:35

@Summerhillsquare it was Mac radiant light rosy skin finish
