Flat shoes for Christmas party

Due to an ankle injury I’m restricted to flat shoes for my work Christmas night out. Party night in a hotel - set meal, singer, DJ etc.

I don’t usually feel as dressy in flats - I’m plus sized and feel like heels give me a bit of a confidence boost and make me feel a bit “nicer” so I’m on the hunt for something a bit glam that I hopefully feel ok in!

I have 2 possible outfits - black velvet dress with metallic detailing, or emerald green sequin a-line dress. Both would be worn with back tights so ideally looking for flats that would work with either option 🤞🏼

Can anyone give me some inspiration 🤞🏼

A pointy slingback with a very small kitten heel? Or a kind of ballet flat style shoe but in leather with some embellishments? I can't wear a heel anymore and always wear gold cowboy boots in winter with long dresses. But that's not to everyone's taste! Don't be afraid to wear a classic brogue. Maybe in a faux animal skin or patent?

Good question! Am also stuck with flats due to a neurological condition that makes me wobbly. You've inspired me to go hunting. If I see anything nice I shall share

@BobbyBiscuits Needs to be properly flat for a very small block heel - basically something it would be very hard to go over on my ankle in at all. Gold cowboy boots sound amazing and sound perfect for a long dress that I have actually! Not for the Christmas party but maybe for another festive day that I have 😍
Im definitely thinking a ballet flat or flat with a pointed toe maybe? Embellishment would be a plus! I’ve seen a lot of patent but I’m not sure that’s what I’m after 🤔

I have these and find them v comfortable. I find lots of shoes rub so I’ve only worn them with body glide on my heels but no blisters yet.

I’ve been eyeing up these velvet flats from House of Bruar today - might treat myself to a couple of pairs given the price!

I can't link them for some reason but ASOS do a shoe called "Lavinia Heeled Ballet". They are lovely and they do leopard, silver and black. If you search on their site they should come up. I'm going to get some!

@CassandraWebb @Hermanfromguesswho haha, thank you. They're actually really fucking garish and very metallic, so almost looks like jewellery or like I'm a robot? They're really comfortable though. It works with long skirts and dresses but with short ones I always just wear my Nike high tops. Else I'd look like a Halloween costume of Dolly Parton. 🤣🤣

I have the Ganni buckle flats which I have worn loads over the past year. They go with almost everything. There are a few copies out there now which are more affordable like these ones. Would they work with your dresses?
I wear mine with jeans (and socks!) as well as with dresses
