Hi all,
I recently received a wool scarf from a friend of mine. The tag reads "100% lambswool", and (for a metric of quality) I believe it's probably from a Scottish wool tourist shop. Unfortunately, from the moment I brought it home it's been shedding countless little 3-5mm strands of fuzz. I've many a wool jumper but I've not had them do this, and I don't know how to fix it (if it can be fixed)??
Is there any trick to stop a wool scarf from shedding its hairs? Hairspray, putting it in the freezer, etc? The person who gave it to me put a lot of effort into choosing a pattern and style that I'd like, and they're so lovely that I'd hate to banish it to the closet forever... but at the same time having lint and hair in my home drives me crazy :((
