what colour to wear with red skirt????

Title says it all really - have a christening to go to in June, have dug out, red (blue red), cotton, a line monsoon skirt (from two years ago). Ti's a good fit and kind of works with black camisole and black strappy wedges, although understand shouldn't wear red with black or white; is this true??!! What colour can I wear with it?? Why did I buy it??? Why does bugger all else I own fit?? Any comments gratefuly received.

I wear red with black or white, but it also goes well with a sage green or cornflower blue

navy might be nice, there's lots of nautical stuff around at the moment

i like red with bright pink but then i do have at times somewhat dubious ideas

Pink, orange or green

There is a lot of nautical aound too so that would be very on trend

No black or white with red? Nonsense! Both work very well, as long as you don't overdo it on matching accessories.

your going to think bluerghhh , but Ive got a red and white wrapover dress and I wear it with a pink metallic traditional shaped twinset style cardigan and it works really well.

Although weirdly I found this , look at top of page image! I had typed in pink metalic cardigan!!!

navy and white v interesting, sounds promising belcant' - agree shops seem to have lots of nautical stuff, like that idea

I like red and black. Have also worn red with white.

I wear a red skirt with a brown top and brown boots too. A slightly softer look. I do not suit navy at all so nevre wear it.

thanks everyone you have given me lots of ideas, will have to get hunting for rest of outfit now...the black does work, but think a bit hard for my colouring
