Beautiful not totally non itchy scarf

I don’t do well with itchy fabrics and really struggle with wearing wool, even over layers I can still feel it and makes me itch. This is even worse if it is close to my next. Even ‘nice’ wool.

I have asked Father Christmas for a nice scarf, that is attractive but totally not itchy. As it will be a present it can be more than usual but not ridiculous money - it is still a scarf to keep warm in winter.

Any suggestions.

Have you looked at fleece scarves?

Struggling to find any that would tick the beautiful box. I still want it to look good.

I was going to suggest Fable too, I wear pashmina style fine knit scarves and have seen their website but haven't bought from them. The designs are so pretty though. also how about faux fur style? Very non itchy, IMO

I have a couple of these velvet ones, they are incredibly beautiful, very soft, totally non-itchy and surprisingly cosy but they aren't a big, wrap you up scarf if that is what you're after.

I'd recommend one of these.

I too hate scratchy scarves and I bought two scarves from Foxford and they are so soft against my neck I would actually think they were cotton and not wool.

An alternative might be to get a wrap so you'd wear your coat, then the wrap and throw one of the lengths of the wrap over a shoulder like a scarf, so it's not right up beside your neck.

I received a velvet scarf from White Stuff last year for Christmas. It's absolutely beautiful and not a hint of itch.

It's not somewhere I generally shop myself and I was pleasantly surprised.

I have a beautiful brant scarf by Oubas in a deep cerise. It is so light, warm and not at all itchy - and I really struggle with itchy!

My favourites are more like knitted Cotton

Merino / lambswool makes me itch. Cashmere doesn't. Neither does silk. So I just steer clear of merino/lambswool and always very carefully check the label.

Kokoon Silks have some beautiful cashmere/silk scarves but they're not the cheapest.

REW fleece scarves are lovely. They are ruched at the front and fasten with a button.

I can't wear wool next to my skin either so I have two wonderful 70% cashmere 30% silk pashminas which are lovely and warm & totally non-itchy.
