Where to get a really great Christmas jumper?

Something actually knitted (rather than printed) and not made of polyester!

I like the fairisle style, but I'd love something that's also cute/funny and properly Christmassy. There's just so much tat around I don't really know where to look.

Cannot afford the likes of Brora, tragically.

Thanks 🙂❄

Have you looked at Vinted? You can filter by materials.

Edinburgh Woollen Mill have had nice ones in the past .

I have for some years now 'created' a Christmas jumper by adding felt decorations to a plain cream one. My decorations started life with a hanging thread which I removed and sewed tiny safety-pins on the back of each one. I have Santa on his sleigh plus stars, or several parcels which go from shoulder to hip, several angels and lots of snowflakes. I ring the changes, look for new additions each year and wear my cream jumper without them for the rest of the year

Seconded. I recently got a gorgeous Joe Brown Christmas jumper for only £3.50.
Best time as well as people are buying new ones now and getting rid of old ones.

M&S always come good for Christmas jumpers, I find. There’s always a few that I think look decent. None of them more than £35.

Such a cool idea! Very creative indeed
Do you have any pics of your designs? 😊

This one is 100% lambswool but isn't particularly Christmassy but would be wearable all winter

Vinted again. I just got a lovely French Connection wool one for under £10.

Britpopbaby · 23/11/2024 19:33

They has a wool ( majority) and Nylon jumper in TK Maxx today that I think is one of their brands which I think would fit the bill. It had sheep on with a couple of sheep with Santa hats on. It was just under £35.

Can’t find a picture but I did find this https://www.tkmaxx.com/uk/en/women/clothing/knitwear/womens-jumpers/black-and-white-reindeer-sweater/p/12510498
