Accessories for my dress- Dinner dance event

I have a dinner dance event next weekend with my DH. I already have this Ghost dress linked below but I bought it years ago in a lovely dark green. I am really struggling to find shoes. Can anyone send me links to nice shoes, bags and jewellery/accessories please? I have a few requirements for shoes:

1- no high heels, I can’t walk in them. I can handle a low wedge or block heel or kitten heels.

2- no toes showing. No sandals or peep toe styles.

3- no slip on style ones. I am clumsy and accident prone on my own. I don’t need shoes that try to come off my feet!

4- comfort is very important. I have princess feet. If my shoes start to hurt I will not hesitate to stick my trainers on but it’s not really the look I want. Would only do that because once my feet start to hurt I begin to not enjoy myself.

5- budget is under £100 for shoes. I would expect the shoes together with the cost of a bag and jewellery to be over £100 though, that’s ok but if it all comes to less than £100 without looking too cheap then even better!

Sorry that’s quite a few requirements isn’t it haha. Here is the dress, my one is in green:

Not sure if it’s relevant but my colouring is very similar to that of the model. I am a size 8 with size 5.5 feet so I will need to buy two pairs of shoes to try on size 5 and 6 as most places don’t sell 5.5. I need the returns process to be easy!

This style of strapped ‘ballet flat’ is handy too!

Thanks. I agree that gold would be lovely. I don’t really like the Mango ones but can’t say why. I really like the John Lewis ballet ones but are they suitable for a dinner dance? I am tempted to buy them anyway even if they aren’t for this event 😁

These

These

I don’t really like the look of those ones. I think it’s because they are in two parts with a separate ankle strap that comes of a spindly bit at the back IYKWIM. I don’t think they would be comfortable enough for my princess feet. I think I want an all in one shoe, like more securely made. I don’t know if that makes sense to anyone else 😂

Yeah! They are very on trend and if you pair if with a very delicate gold bag and delicate jewellery it will look cool aswell as classy.

I was tempted to suggest a back-up pair of gold superga for any heels!

I have gone to functions in these with a pair of heels in hand and then ‘oops I forgot to change into my heels, silly me’ !

Ooh ok, I am going to order them. Any suggestions for a bag and jewellery? 😁

As small and as delicate a bag as you think you can get away with…

And you may have a problem matching the gold so if you can’t go exact… then veer away… this looks almost metal and is very cool and looks tiny to me.

Jewellery again I’d go delicate, you need some bracelets for the bracelet sleeve on the dress - maybe adding in another streak of colour somehow… to make up that three colour rule…

And if you want a necklace then something that sits just above the neckline of that dress so it’s a bit peekabooish.

Metallic clutch bag - Women | MANGO United Kingdom

Small. Metallic finish. Striped texture. Clutch style. Long detachable chain strap. Removable strap. Metallic press stud fastening. 8.66x5.12x1.18 in (Length x Height x Width)

I like the look of those. I don’t know if I would be able to manage a thin wobbly heel in a toe crushingly pointy shoe though. They do look pretty and I wish my feet weren’t so sensitive 😔 I could probably deal with one of those traits in a shoe, either a thin wobbly low heel but a comfier toe, or a toe crusher with a kitten heel.

While you are on the John Lewis site… but you need a few delicate bracelets ideally.

These are cheap you could layer them up with something like the one above with a bit of another colour.

I should have added this as a requirement on my OP but my bag has to be a proper bag/clutch. Preferably a rectangle and with a secure zip. I have to carry two phones with me and small packets of medication at all times due to my health condition.

Oh I do like this gold one. I can’t see any dimensions anywhere. It does look like it could carry my two phones and meds in it though.

I love the gold mary janes and the gold botanical earrings. I would not wear a necklace, just the earrings.

Those are very pretty but I don’t like the type of earrings that don’t have a back. The thought of threading these through my ear lobe 🤢 I don’t know, I just can’t 😂
