We used JKs House. Reasonable prices and fit to size beautifully. Be aware the dress arrives in the tiniest of boxes but the dresses are very well packaged.

Looking to buy something but don't want to spend more than £100. I know, cheapskate 😁

We bought DD1's from karen millen in a petite (and sizing very small) and DD2's we had altered to fit her.

DD and a fair few of her friends for their Sixth form leavers bought prom dresses from Babyboo. DD is 5ft 3 and a size 6 and an XS fitted her.

only thing to bear in mind is that it’s an Aussie site and you are charged to return and they only refund to store credit. But the dresses are well made and are lovely.

We have the opposite issue, dd is 6ft tall and solid but this one was £122 and has two net underskirts. Think it came in 4 lengths. Lovely fit.

My daughter is selling a few dresses that she hardly wore. All clean.

Thank you everyone. I won't consider a non-UK based online shop, too stressful!😓 It sounds like we've narrowed things down to Petite Strappy Satin Cowl Dress. There's some flexibility in colour and it can be maxi or midi, but it has to be petite to fit correctly on the top. I don't want to spend too much but I also don't want her to look cheap. She's a curvaceous size 8 and satin can be unforgiving! If anyone felt inclined to help me out a bit I'd be eternally grateful.
