Also, is it too short. I’m 48, size 12 with decent legs.

It looks a little old fashioned with the velvet and sheer sleeves, it's also a little shapeless and possibly a little short 😬

It’s fine. For me it would be grey sheer tights. Like the boots they have styled it with.

I'm not keen on the boots but they might look better with grey, almost black or navy tights. The bare legs / nude tights look is awful.

@Missionimprobable It looks lovely on. I’ve got a lovely pair of navy blue suede heels to go with it. I’m only 5’6 so it’s about two inches above the knee so not that short.

@TizerorFizz @IHaveNeverLivedintheCastle Tights are my one concern. If I go navy I will pretty much be navy from the neck down but nude tights (however sheer) would be brave. I have never worn grey tights, would they work with navy shoes?

I don't see a problem with navy all the way, but if you do I think barely black rather than grey, although grey would be ok (I think)

I always worry with anything that is too dark for weddings, but a december wedding, when it's basically navy... I think this is fine.

shoes/tights are the big issue. I think grey could work, but you'd probably need to try them on and see. I'd also be inclined to seeing if there's anyway way to add brighter accessories - jewellery, jacket, shawl etc.

ish navy. Dark grey or barely black are just not sharp hard black. I don’t like head to toe navy personally and if you go navy shoes, I would avoid navy tights. However at a wedding most people who talk to you don’t look at your legs. I would avoid going with much that’s a huge contrast but I would add something extra with jewellery or hair and you might well need a coat!
