... does that mean I'm now a fully fledged MNetter, or do I actually have to order something for it to count?

OP posts:
beansprout · 28/04/2008 10:31

moondog · 28/04/2008 10:33

beansprout · 28/04/2008 10:34

Don't buy anythng and watch as his e-mails become increasingly pleading and desperate.

Fimbo · 28/04/2008 10:35

You are required to order the rainy day jacket to become a fully fledged member and change your name to "Flore".

I am going to the town hall sale in Norwich in a few weeks and have been informed by DH that if I buy anything other than groceries between now and then he won't let me take his credit card - it is soooo bloody difficult when they send you those lovely books with all the pretty thin people in - mind you DH has also given me a talk about buying the lifestyle - he reckons I won't look like one of those ladies in there if I buy the clothes - maybe if I also bought the shoes and accessories????

Buy Buy Buy!!!!!

I also need 3 new bikinis don't ya think!

Fimbo · 28/04/2008 10:50

Oh Twinkie when?

Twinkie1 · 28/04/2008 13:59

Tuesday 20th, 10am at Norwich Town Hall - I am going to go crazy - never been to one before but I understand you pick up lots of bargains!

Fimbo · 28/04/2008 16:44

Norwich doesn't have a town hall! . It's probably St Andrews Hall thats where they normally are held.

Pity I am on holiday

lilolilmanchester · 28/04/2008 22:21

Browsing the catalogue now. Seen a few things I like = but it seems a bit pricey. Is it really good quality? Also, what's their sizing like? I'm usually either a 12 or a 14, are they generous or snug fitting?

OP posts:
kittywise · 28/04/2008 22:24

No, the quality is APPALLING, looks good but doesn't wash well and is hideously overpriced .
I'm always amazed that anyone falls for his pitch

Yes strangely mini Boden is ok, I've never been able to work that one out, but any adult stuff I have bought had lost its shape after the first wash.

PrincessPeaHead · 28/04/2008 22:29

and don't forget the £22 children's knickers
I'm still boycotting him over those
Elephantine memory, me. Haven't bought a thing from Boden since. £22 for a six pack of 2 yr olds pants. AND they said it was their "lowest margin item"....

Hassled · 28/04/2008 22:31

I've been to the Norwich St Andrew's Hall Boden sale and it wasn't pretty - you've never seen so many middle-class women in one place shamelessly elbowing each other out of the way. In the couple of minutes it took me to try some shoes on my existing boots were swept away in a tide of Boden fever and were found at the other side of the (large) hall.

A good deal of the women and children in the town I life in wear nothing but Boden, it's scary
